It's a limitation in Windows 7 virtual PC (Windows XP mode). This happens because the screen resolution is limited to sixteen $.25. Yet there is a workaround to get it to 32 fleck. All you need to do is to disable Integration features from the Virtual PC.

1. Open Virtual PC in windowed mode.

2. Click on Tools.

3. Disable Integration feature.

At present you can switch the color to 32 bits. Note : You might lose the direct access to the "Host Local drives" while in this mode unless you reset the networking parameters.

Now you can alter the screen resolution of virtual PC to match with the native screen resolution. You lot need to follow the common method of irresolute the screen resolution in Windows XP to get the aforementioned resolution as in Windows 7. I'd like to decrease screen resolution in XP Mode to make the microscopic icons, text etc. easier to see.

My very strong recommendation is non to do this. I recommend that
y'all instead go along the resolution high, merely change settings so that
text, icon size, etc. are all bigger.

I've tried going through Virtual PC>XP Style>Properties in Win vii but the check-box to drop resolution to 640x480 is greyed-out.  I read this response and cannot figure out where on the XP desktop I'1000 supposed to find "Tools".

"To change these settings, when in the XP Mode desktop click on the*Tools* menu and so select *Settings.*You lot will at present exist at the virtual pc settings screen and should click on the*Integration Features* category."

Any assist on how to make XP Mode more than visible to my aging eyes would exist appreciated.
