The Sims 3 is DirectX ix right? Yeah I got same problem with you and just game with DirectX 10/xi is running well for me :D

You probably need the DirectX redist: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
Yous might also demand the latest VC++ Redistributable: http://world wide web.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
If you have the game on Origin, there should be a folder called "_Installer" inside the game folder, within that folder there should be a "redist" folder. Install any vcredist.exe or DirectX exe you detect in that folder.

Are you lot playing these off of a disc? If and so, these games I believe are using Safedisc which isnot supported on Windows 10. I suggest seeing if you lot can become digital versions of these games by downloading origin. (www.origin.com). So adding the product keys. This should give y'all digital versions of the games you tin can download and play.

Sounds like a different outcome. What is happening with Dota ii? I've run dota 2 without issue on WIndows 10. I'd get-go tryin re-syncing files on steam. If it still doesn't work tin can yous post what graphics menu and drivers y'all are using?

This may not be the solution to your problem, only I downloaded windows 10 a few days ago too. I was having a problem with accessing my Netflix program... so I opened the Windows 10 Microsoft Edge (new browser) and I typed in the webb address for the Netflix, and when information technology opened on the Microsoft Edge Browser I immediately added it to that Favorites list... Now if I admission it from that Favorites listing it works great.. So somehow you demand to get your sims accessing the game thru the Microsoft Border Browser... Hope this helps...
